Board Member Opportunities

The end of each year is a transition period for so many people. Starting around Thanksgiving and through Christmas, I think many of us begin to count the days as one chapter of our lives ends, and another begins. The same is true for businesses, and non-profit organizations are no exception.

In addition to reflecting on accomplishments over the year, clients served, and donor recognition, many non-profit Boards of Directors see December as a point of change. Whether through term limits or changes in personal circumstances, board positions often open at the end of the year and need to be filled with passionate people. Like many other non-profits, Bella SPCA will have board seats available beginning January 1 and is seeking passionate people that have the desire to serve others.

If you have ever considered serving on a non-profit board or are currently serving and either through term limits or personal reasons wish to change, I would love to talk to you. Bella is an animal welfare organization but unique in its mission in that Bella helps people by helping their pets. While the experience is great, having a background in animal welfare isn’t required. What is required is passion, compassion, business acumen, strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, donor management, and the desire to help others.
